We are happy to announce the return of in-person summer camp! Registration for the Lowcountry Explorers Summer Camp will open on March 14 at 9 a.m. Join us this summer for week-long summer camps full of adventure! These educational camps have a science or history theme and are jam-packed with activities and fun. Every week, campers will enjoy field trips, classes with our educators, crafts, water day, and lots of time outside! We are also offering one week of virtual summer camp. Virtual Explorers will receive a box that includes activities, educational lessons, arts and crafts, online content, and a camp t-shirt! The weeks and themes are as follows: Junior Explorers (ages 6 to 8 ) – June 13-17 – 21st Century Naturalist
Junior Explorers (ages 6 to 8 ) – June 27- July 1 – Taste of History
Junior Explorers (ages 6 to 8 ) – July 18-22 – Matter Matters Senior Explorers (ages 9 to 12) – June 20-24 – 21st Century Naturalist
Senior Explorers (ages 9 to 12) – July 11-15 – Taste of History
Senior Explorers (ages 9 to 12) – July 25-29 – Matter Matters Virtual Explorers(ages 6-12) – July 4-9 – Paleontology The 21st-century naturalist will focus on everything from the ground beneath our feet to the distant universes millions of light-years away. The taste of history will focus on the culinary aspects of history focusing on what cultures ate and how to make it. Matter matters will focus on matter and its different stages solids, liquids, and gases. Paleontology will be virtual and focus on fossils and how they are formed. Camp runs from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. The cost per in-person camper is $200, the virtual camp is $50. Each week is limited to 12 campers with a counselor to camper ratio of 1-to-6. A minimum $50 non-refundable deposit is required for each camper per week. Safety is our No. 1 priority at OSCP and we will be following American Camp Association standards related to COVID-19. Camp staff will check each camper’s temperature each day upon arrival, and facial coverings may be required in accordance with ACA and CDC guidelines at the time.
